Bringing my toy home today and have questions

Hi all...my first post here.
Bought 08 red cooper S, only 3 options, Cold Weather Package and Rooster Red Color Line, and Floor Mat, paid sticker price 22,600.00. Additional fee 195 for papers prep, 86 for plate and 5% tax. Total is about 24,144.00. Finance thru Mini of Peabody for 5 years at 5.26%

My questions:
1. Did I overpay for anything?
2. is 3 additional years for maintenance service (1795.00) worth buying?
3. I have perfect score in credit, 5.26% is kinda high?

Hope to hear from you guys before 2:00PM EST time today. Picking it up @4PM.
ps. can't get them to throw in anything FREE :-)
thanks in advance.

I think 5.26% is pretty good from MINI. We got 4.25% with Pentagon Credit Union ($20 fee for joining the Army Family Assoc and $5 into a current account)

People seem to be paying the sticker price so that is okay. We got just $200 off and some floor mats thrown in.

Can't really comment on the extended warranty. I could be wrong, but if you can decide afterwards I would sleep on it.

Your fee seems reasonable. Your interest rate is high. Check with PenFed... search for a thread on here. Delay pickup if you have too while you get that squared away. Your car sounds great.

Good idea to sleep a few years on that 'extended...

Her Camry included no service plan and they sold her a 5 Year / 60K plan (with service every six months / 5k) for $699.00.

This includes "Fifteen Point Inspection, Oil & Filter plus Tire Rotation each six months / 5k and adds induction and cabin air filters at 30k & 60k.

This is "Auto Master Maintenance, interval 5:" through United States Warranty Corp 1-800-432-4566 (but sold by local Toyota Dealer).

Here is one internet 'guide' for information about extended warranty plans.

Since my MINI Dealer is a three hour drive away, I would rather have had an opt-out for 'credit' for that MINI Maintenance 36/36 Program.

The service guy at Roadshow (Memphis) talked me out of the Extended Service Contract. In his words, all you are buying is 3-4 oil/fluid/filter changes. That would cost you ($1800/4) $450 per visit. Doesn't figure to be in the best interest of the buyer.
What I am looking at is the Extended Maintenance Contract, about same price for 7yr/70k and covers anything that might break or wear unexpectedly. BUT I still have to read the fine print.

Interest rate looks a little high to me also. Check the internet for a better rate. We did, accepted a cheaper rate then they offered upon ordering the Mini. When we went in with check in hand for delivery, they ran another check and came up with an even cheaper rate. Went with that last offer they checked on, which was from our local bank where all our checking and savings are (personal and our business accounts). When I contacted them they couldn't give me that rate. We have better than excellent credit so I marched into my bank a few days later and expressed my anger personally to the manager. He explained with all the BS talk, but it's the business of financing.

Good Luck!!!

Hi Guys...I did it. Brought it home last night..restrained from enjoying this truly awesome machine due to break-in period. 1200 mile is a long way to go.

Do you guys ever go into 5 or 6 gear in the city or when you're between 45-50 mile?

Couldn't get better rate, 5.17% with my credit union.
Still overwhelm with all the indicators and programming.
When is my first oil change?
thanks guys.
