Mine just set sail from Southampton aboard the Jingu Maru. Are there others of you who have one traveling with my Mini?

Also, She'll dock in both New York and South Carolina. Does anyone know which port is where they come ashore to travel to the distribution center?

My MCS just came off the Jingu July 28th! They all get off in NY and go to processing at the NJ VPC, then off to respective dealers from there.

Good luck!

I dont understand. I checked the shipping manifest of the Jingu Maru and mine is scheduled to be on there, leaving today.

Then when I check the owners lounge on MINI USA, it says Im still awaiting transport.

What up wit dat?

The MINIUSA tracking system is just slower to change than the shipping company's, which is much more detailed and even gives the time when they load them and when the ship sails. Look for a thread (sorry I only have it bookmarked at work) that gives the web address. You just click "auto" then enter your VIN number.

Bon Voyage!

So, if it about a week to arrive after unloading, nine sea days to New York or 11 to South Carolina....depending on where they let em off that's either another 19 or 21 days. It's not time to hold our breaths yet, but soon depending upon lung capacity.

It depends on which part of the country you're in. If you live in the southeast, you'll be serviced by the SC VPC, if you live in the northeast, you'll be serviced by the New Jersey VPC.

Each time I see this topic come up on the Pulse I can't help but think of the movie Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan (yeah, I am a hopeless geek, so hush) and the part dealing with the 'Kobayashi Maru Test'.

A fitting variation on that theme would probably be "The needs of the MINI outweigh the needs of the few".

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

PS, congratulations on the impending arrival(s)!

Mini USA is always way behind. My Mini was in the middle of the Atlantic while the Mini site said it waiting transport

Bloo came in on the Jingu as well. Took all of 5 days to get my car here to Miami after she came off in So. Carolina.

Even after assuring others that miniusa is just slow to update, I started becoming concerned today that it still lists mine as awaiting transport even though the shipper said it was loaded the day Jingu Maru sailed. I knew mine was a rowdy one but thought not to ther extent of getting kicked off. Maybe it should be heartening for those of us miniusa still has as sitting on the dock (of the bay) that we are not alone and the shipper is more likely more current (cross fingers).

Someone else said it is usually about a week after docking for those of us in the Chicago area. It SHOULD be soon.
