Well, I didn't see this thread and goofed and started a new one, but I was shown the error of my ways.

I have an order placed on 09 Aug 03 with a projected delivery in late December/early January:

'04 Indi Blue MCS
White Roof/Mirrors/Bonnet Stripes
Premium/Sport/Cold
HK
Auto-wipers/mirror
Black Panther Leather/Alloy Patina
Sunroof
White 17" S-Lites

James, you think we can get someone to deep freeze us until December?

Deep freezing us would certainly make the time go quicker but then we would miss out on all this mini talk.

Surely there are more then just the two of us waiting for December. Come on all you lurkers post away!

I may end up in this club. I paid my deposit July 12th. I was told "delivered by the end of Nov" However, if I get a late production date and my estimated delivery date slips, I'll be here with you waiting for December!

Either way, it's a long time! I wish I could sleep for like 2 months and wake up and find it's the middle of Nov.!

Bump for the official December club. You guys were buried. You need to get out there and sell it!
Besides I'm on the tail end of the November Club and may need to seek refuge here some day.

It will be nice to see some Pepper white MCS for a change. Put some cordoba leather on with anthracite dash and chrome trim and wheels. Add a black roof with sunroof. Another classic is born.

Ok, count me in. I was initially told I would be getting my MINI in Nov....but when I called to make sure the fax for the order got through, somehow it was changed to Dec....I was disappointed but I will live. I will be flying from So Cal to Texas to pick up my 04 DS/DS MINI Cooper S....can't wait and until then I am carless so it is extra hard. I get to borrow the roommates car but...sold my car to get the MINI ordered. Have a dealer 10 minutes from my house but they would not even talk about taking off any of the $5000 + of market fees and add-ons...so I am taking my business to a respectable dealer.

Hope it goes fast for us all.....

Hazzah! My first post.

I pulled the trigger and ordered an MCS yesterday. The salelady (oops, MA) tells me it should be here for Christmas. THAT will make for a happy new year!

MCS
dark silver with white roof
leatherette, anthracite
DSC, heated package, OBC, CC wheel.

They had a car coming in just like this any day now, but it was PW, not my first choice in color, and definitely not my wife's. So now we're waiting.

I’ve never cared what I drove. I have never really been “into” cars. I never even learned to drive a manual. All this changed the day that my wife (who has always loved cars) said that BMW had something called a MINI and that we should look at one.

The more I looked at the Cooper the more I liked it. I built dozens, if not hundreds, of them on miniusa, all the while learning to drive my wife’s Subaru Forrester. I did not want to test drive a Cooper without first mastering the manual transmission. A note about the Forrester – It has what Subaru calls The Hill Holder. The car will not roll back on a hill when the clutch is engaged. This may sound great to long-time stick divers, but to a newbie trying to learn what to feel for in 1st gear, it has been difficult.

One day I found MCO and lurked here every day or two since. I learned a lot and finally I narrowed all of my options down to Pepper White or British Racing Green. Nearly every other option was picked. Yesterday I drove a Cooper. Yesterday I ordered a Cooper. The MINI’s stick is easy to handle/feel even on the many hills of Cincinnati.

Anyway, I went with Pepper White/Black with Red interior. As my Motoring Advisor handed me the Production Number she said that although it seems like a pretty high price to pay for a piece of paper with a number on it, it does come with a free car. I am scheduled for a mid to late December delivery.

So, good evening to all and add me to the "Can't Wait For December" Club...

Gern

I'm in! Got a production date of 10/31--should have gone with the orange and black paint scheme.

Instead, I'm getting an Indi Blue MCS, white roof and bonnet stripes, three packages, nav system, driving lights, cordoba leather interior. My first born is due Christmas Eve, so almost named the car "Last Toy". I'm getting more psyched by the day, for the car and the kid. I'll post pictures of both.

Well, well. My status has changed to "awaiting transport". I am one week ahead of the 31 October production deadline. So, i guess the next step is a boat ride across the pond, and some final 'Americanizing', before delivery.
Does anyone have an idea how long this will take? Is the 1st week of Dec still a feasable pick up date?
Can't wait.
Now, if only I can figure out how to pay for this.....
