Probably 4-6 weeks. Congrats on ordering! Now the ultimate test of patience. Waiting for it to arrive.... Week 20 build for me...

 

I haven't gotten my production number yet. Hopefully my MA will email it to me soon.

Congratulations!!!!! I could not stand the wait, so I hunted down "Penelope" in Connecticut.......Hope you don't have to wait too long.....the CR with black roof is more beautiful every day!

 

Once you have a production number, you can find out what week your car will be built. I was a week 10 build (ie. tenth week of the calendar year). Check the 'how to track your MINI' thread in the 1st gear forum.

 

Ya can keep your fancy scoops, laddie!!! Mini's shouldn't even have 'em!!!!

On the scooop, doesn't the intercooler get its air from somewhere else but the hood? So, isn't it merely decorative?

 

Yep. The intercooler is mounted low in the front bumper. The hood scoop was opened up a little to help reduce the engine bay temps.

 

While waiting... (Been there !!!)

Take a look at the manual - and pick the various options that can be memorized so the dealer can set it up for you when they receive your car.

I knew about those options (Daytime running lights, Autolocking doors, ...) but thought I could set them myself and didn't bother ask the dealer (and he didn't either asked me)...
I'll get those tweaked on my next visit to the dealer.

 

I don't see any mods in the near future. The first things I change will definitely be the wheels though.
