NEED HELP ASAP

Ok guys (and girls),
Girlfriend had a boo boo today and I need some help. As she was backing out of the garage she hit the button on the door opener and it stopped 3/4 of the way up. She looked in rearview mirror did not see any door and then WACK!!!!!! NO MORE ANTENNA MAST. So she came back into the house crying and very upset. Well I took a look at it and almost all of the threaded part off the mast is in the base. I worked and worked on getting the piece out and finally got it after about a hour and half of work. Cool thing it I finally got to use my easy out kit, and hopefully you never have to use one but it did work really well. best $100 ever spent. SO now I have the broken piece out but can not find a OEM antenna mast. have not called mini yet but I am guessing the will be expensive. And girlfriend does not want a stubby she loves her RC car look antenna. SO WHERE CAN YOU GET ONE OTHER THAN EBAY????? HELP
Sorry so long

Just call the Mini/BMW dealership and ask, you might be surprised to find out it's only $20 bucks or something like that...

I'm sure if you need a stock antenna you can post in-
Want to buy and someone will respond.

Sorry to hear about your mishap.

MINIs often loose antenae at the dealership when put up on storage racks while waiting to be serviced. The routine is to remove the antenae as the car is being wrote up for service.

Another mishap happened to me. Parked my wife's new Honda in the garage but the back bumper was a little too close to the door as it came down and it scraped the bumper leaving a white streak. Fortunately I was able to buff it out enough so that it's minimal. Scary moment since it was my doing.

Why not eBay? A quick search shows the OEM antenna for $15.50, shipped. Buy it now and have it in a week. Problem solved.

Me, too. A concrete pillar in a parking garage jumped out in front of me and sideswiped my car on the left front bumper. And concrete doesn't buff out. $350.

And the joke (?) of it is I specifically picked that spot because I knew no one would park next to me because of the pillar.

I got mine from Morristown Mini and I think the price was $32.00 or close to it. It's a PITA to install if you have big hands.

You are in the wrong forum for superchargers.

This is a good excuse to get a stubby antenna. There are a variety of shapes and sizes available from MiniMania, Craven, Alta, and others.

I'm about to buy a 3 inch stubby antennae from a guy who's been making them in his machine shop (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co....php?t=137077). I won't know for another day or so if the sale is actually going to go through. But if it does, I'll sell you my stock antennae off my '03 MC.

Thanks guys she was crying because its her little baby and that’s the first little (hopefully last) accident. She hit the button to open door and when she put E brake down hit it again and stopped it just above the rear spoiler so when she looked out the back rear window it was clear. COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ANYBODY THAT HAS A CAR! WAS NOT THE LACK OF HER PATIENTS!!! Just a accident she hit it no big deal just want to get it fixed.

I thought the threads on the '03 were different than the R56.

Wow she was lucky it just broke the antenna. So tell her not to worry! And I'm sure you can find a new one pretty easily.
