It works well but is a bit annoying to install and makes a clanking noise when driving. I would buy it again, just wouldn't install it .

We actually prefer the Hotchkis rear swaybars. They are super hight quality, light weight, and have greasable mounts.
Just my 2 cents.

I had the IE rear sway. Didn't have any problems with it, but it was noisier that stock because of the new endlinks.

It is equivalent to a 19mm solid bar. I changed mine out after a year to a 22mm with TSW endlinks.

H-sport you say? My Alta 22mm is rusting since all the paint is flaking off.

Ireland has some of the best "bang for the bucks" parts, but as with all things that are cheaper, expect a little sacrafice.

I have the IE rear bar. It is the 19mm hollow bar that is equivalent to a 22mm solid bar. It made noise when I first installed it, but I fixed the noise issue with some fuel hose.

The install of the rear bar is fairly straightforward. It will take you about an hour if you are mechanially inclined, about double or triple that if not.

I have had it on my '03 for about 3 years and would not trade it for anything.

Good Luck,
Mike

Just to clarify.........the IE bar is a 22mm hollow equivilent to a solid 19mm.

OK, where did you use the fuel hose to quiet the noise? I think my end links are hitting the part of the subframe. I'm thinking about sliding them farther forward to see if that solves the problem.

Just get an Hsport bar, you won't have to worry about noise. You only need adjustable rear endlinks if your going to corner weight the car.

OK, I moved the end links forward on the bar and made sure all was tightened to factory specs. I still have the same thumping noise I've had since I first installed the bar over a year ago. Any suggestions, other than buying a new bar? This is on my '02 Cooper with a July '02 build date.

The IE Sway bar is a great value, but it's got to be installed and adjusted just right to reduce the noise issues. I have a few Chicago customers running them without issue. Feel free to call me for tips, it's just easier then posting.

yeah they changed the design a lil while ago. I was running the same ones from 2006 that rattled like crazy. I emailed them and they said they had a newer version so i bought them and put them in the same spot that the old ones were in. I have only driven about 10 miles on them, so im not sure how long they will stay quiet

Here's what my endlinks look like. Can you tell if they're the old ones or the new ones? I bought my bar used and didn't ask the seller when he bought it.
