I've been eyeing these for well over a year now...I'm about ready to pull the trigger but I'm wondering how hard they will be to install.

Will I have to remove the bumper cover?

Will I have to remove the bumper cover?
Longboard
I just installed a set of these about a month or so ago. Not very hard to do, but a few things to point out.
As Longboard stated, remove the bumper. I have read that some people can do it without removing the bumper, but honestly I don't see how.
Also, be careful when screwing them onto the bumper. I am a bit **** about things lining up perfectly, and in my obsession I snapped one of the mounting posts. Now in my defense, I bought them used and noticed glue residue around the post after it had broken. Upon contacting the seller he told me that he had cracked the post installing them. I wound up getting some plastic weld glue and it has held up perfectly. The point of as that is the housings on these are soft plastic, so be careful.
Another thing, they do not look like the picture when lit. The ring is not a complete circle. It breaks at the bottom. Also the light is not as white as in the picture. They state that they match the Xenons, they don't. They are alot bluer.
All that being said, I do like the way they look. I just wish I could get the light to be more white.
Edit: I just went back and looked at the link. They have changed the description to say "Angel Eyes emit a blue hue that might not be legal in all states.". That's new. It used to say they where a perfect match for the Xenons.

No, the LED is a one piece circular one. It's not worth trying. I have the Hella OPTILUX driving lights with the halo rings. They have a bluish tint and I haven't had any problems with Johnny Law. It's not that noticeable of a blue.

They are not an exact match for the xenons, but they are a perfect match for the 100 watt 7500k h11s that I am using.
Yes, easy to install. No need for instructions to remove the bumper skin. Just keep removing screws on the bumper until it falls off.

Well I just went out and took a pic with my stupid iPhone, but it will have to wait until I get home later. You can not just take pictures off, you have to email them to your self. And of course my email settings are all jacked up, and I can not connect to my work server.
I have to respectfully disagree with Fatherdeth on the color though. With these, or at least the ones I have, the blue is very predominant. Also, they talk about a replacement bulb, but I have not seen it. So I'm not sure if it is a bulb or the entire ring.

Where did you get your H11s?
I just went out to take a pic, and noticed that the light actually does go all the way around, but it is a lot dimmer on the top and bottom. Again this may just be the set I picked up. I'll post a pic when I get home later.

Interesting: I bought mine about a year and a half ago and there is no break in the lighting around the circumference.

Hmmm...on my iPhone it just loads up to iPhoto and I don't even have to do anything, the photos just upload when I plug in.
But maybe you are PC, I dunno...
Anyway, I appreciate all the input on these...I really love them and I also have the Hella 2500s and I love the halos on those. They are just slightly blue, I agree. I was thinking maybe the LED in the running lamps might work the same way as the 2500s (just pops out the bottom) but apparently not!

Yes I'm on a PC. This has spurred me into looking more into my options.
I bet these will look great with the 2500s.

I got them from premierteknet112222 on eBay. I don't see them listing those at this time, but if you contact them, I'm certain they can get them for you. The bulbs are referred to as the "7500K GP Thunder H11 Xenon/Plasma Quartz Bulb 100W". The color is close to xenon headlamps but because of the color spectrum (at 7500K), you need a 100W bulb instead of the stock 55W to get the same visibility. I used the same bulbs for my foglamps. The colorl matches extremely well with the angel eyes.
Don't go with the 8500K. You lose too much visibility even at 100W.

Cool, thanks for the info.

Who me? Yes those are stock 04 xenons that have been "Joey modded" and black wrapped rings. Crappy pic I know, put it shows what I was talking about.
If those halos are anything like mine, then heres how they work. They are similar to fiber optics. You have 1 LED that reflects light around the ring. That's why they get faint in areas. There is a possibility maybe of changing the LED if you can open them up. Personally, I'd leave them alone. That is too faint of a blue to attract Johnny Law. It's bluish, but not that blue. If my camera was working, I'd take pictures of the light on my amp in my Suzuki Sidekick. Now that's blue.
Now you've gotten me curious, and I must look into this further. They list a replacement bulb, but I have yet to see one.

i've got the same turn signals... but disconnected the halo. too blue. instead, i got the gb_mini auto-up circuit and set my foglights to be on automatically. it looks cleaner and it actually serves a purpose.
"Removing the bumper cover is straight forward. The hex head bolts accessible from the front wheel wells are 8mm, the center three fasteners which attach the bottom of the cover to the bumper are 10mm, and the outer two are Phillips. The top two bolts are TORX T30. As you remove these, keep a hand on the cover as it is only held by a couple of plastic tabs. When you have the cover free, pull it out enough to get to the lighting wires. These are the basic twist on attached and will allow you to completely remove the cover." (From the Aero Grill DIY on motoringfile.com)
Getting it back on was a smidge tougher. There are two black springy things on each corner that I was afraid I was going to break. I then found that if I removed them I could reattach them from the some hole in the wheel well that the 8mm bolts were reached from (the screws for the two black springy things are also 8mm).
If I can do this, anyone can...

I use the GBMini fog auto-on and the halos at the same time. You are right, that the halos don't match the color of the stock H11s, and they don't look good together. That's why I change the color of the H11s to 7500k. It's now a pretty good match with the halos.
I like the halos... but that color would drive me crazy. I tried tons of LEDs in the stock lights and many of those were a similar blue. I'm much happier with PIAA extreme white bulbs in my OEM housings... a very good match for the Xenons...

Plugged in the phone and the pics opened right up in Photoshop. I learn something every day.
