Hello,
frist time here, just got my Cooper yesterday. 2003 Indy Blue Cooper. Tan leather interior, Xenons, biscuit heaters (heated seats), and already upgraded rims to the 17" S rims, R82 design. I got those from the showroom floor for a great price. I put 215/40/17 Continental Extreme Contact tires on them yesterday as well. Pulled the 15" rims off, and slapped the 17' on there last night, and enjoyed the ride.
I come from other car clubs, http://www.clubb5.com , where I had Passats that I had modified, a local club http://www.rmcb5.com for Passats and Audi A4/S4 enthusiasts. Spent time at Second Creek Raceway, and also spend time at http://www.audiworld.com for info on the allroad and the local Rocky Mountain Regional members/events.
My plans for the car over the next several year are not only cosmetic upgrades (interior and exterior)...but ECU, exhaust, intake, turbo kit, brace bars, sway bars, springs and shocks. I got this car so I could whip around the corners like no one's business. I have loved every minute in the car the last 2 days. Already put 250 miles on it.
Well, just wanted to introduce myself...as I get settled, I am sure you will be seeing a lot of me in the future. I will also try to make the drive on the 19th...I think that is when it is.

Thanks for the welcome Dave...I have that site bookmarked.
I also spent some time at VWVortex, but never posted there...things got a little crazy for me. I have met "ColoradoMark" through Audiworld and he was at our last track event at SCR about 3 weeks ago. His Indy Cooper S spanked us all. That is what convinced me to go the Cooper route. They are hot little cars, that is for sure.
Looking forward to meeting everyone. One of my good buddies lives next to a guy with a Cooper S...the guy's name is Franz, or something like that. He has the dark Grey S and he has the mini5280 decal in the window. That is how I found this board.

Welcome to MCO! Glad to hear that another Colorado owner has joined the site. Be sure to come out to the next drive on the 9th as I'm hoping to bring out the TEAM MCO car for a little more relaxed driving than what it is used to. Also, be sure to come out to the next BMWCCA autocross as there are a lot of MINIs running in the series. I hope to be at the next one (finally) as we don't have a conflicting SCCA event that weekend. We'll look forward to meeting you. Welcome to MCO, I didn't know you had thisup your sleeve when we met at SCR. Let me know if you need anything, I'll be at the SCCA autocross this weekend (46GS). Not sure about the next BMWCCA autocross, I'm supposed to be up at Winter Park that wekend but I might try and sneak away early. There's also a driver's school at SCR August 9-10 that I'm thinking about doing.

Mark, you were the deciding factor on the Mini I got. You were flying around the track. Don't think I will be at SCR any time soon, outside of our National GTG for the B5's coming up in September. Even though I don't have a B5 anymore, those guys are still great friends and we get together often.
I think I am doing the Mini Drive listed earlier in this post on the 9th...that sounds fun. Anyway, hope to see you out there sometime soon, or at other events. We have a few things planned for GTG's with the RMCB5 group...next week is burger/beer night on Tuesday.

First let me compliment you on a great choice of color, IB rules! Also a Vdub fan here (1996 Golf 2.0, 1995 Passat 1.9 TDI, 2000 GTI VR6 in my past). You should find many folks here are into modding the MC/MCS. Welcome to our insanity.

I will most likely be missing the drive since I'm planning on packing up the MINI on Friday the 8th and heading out of town on the 9th to move to L.A. Because of that I may have been at my last mini5280 event for a while.
