Thank you for posting those pics!
Pardon my ignorance. The aero kit does not seem to add that much more "flare" to the MCS.... To compare visually, the aero kit has the black grills and has no black trims (sides and front). That's about it. Hmmm.... Lighten me, guys. I need to make a decision on the aero kit soon.

Look at the before... less sculpted lines and a black trim...

The Aero is sculpted, looks lower and has no black trim, also check out the side skirts... also sculpted and in body color.

The Aero Kit is not a bad option if you have an Additional $1200 to drop.... That's how much it is at the parts counter, unpainted.....

How much more is the Kit pre-installed and color matched?

His dealer quoted him the same price as mine!

My aero kit will cost me $1200 for the parts, $1550 to install.

I got a PM from a friend, who informed me that the photo I have always thought of being a Aero Kit, actually has the grill frames painted Chili Red to match the car... and on the basic full aero kit, it's a black grill inside a black grill frame.

So I did some checking and found it is TRUE!
Here's a Chili Red Aero Kit! -- Now THIS is what my MCS will look like!!!

Running H&R Adjustable Coilovers, ride was great, I am considering KWas for my Cooper. The H&Rs had some issues duing fittment that I did not like. Installation was pretty easy except for removing the left front strut...

Yes, I agree. If I do anything with mine I will have the existing "Black Trim" painted. I like the lines of the stock front bumper better anyway.

While the MINI dealer aero kit is available for both MCS and MC, it is only moderately different from the front or rear bumpers of the MCS compared to the MC. The side skirts on the aerokit are lower with grilles at the rear. You have the option to paint the wheel wells at the same time or not.

An aero kit added to an MC can make it look very close to an MCS (minus the bonnet scoop and the center tail pipe).

Over in Europe there are other more dramatic aero kits and some of them are quite aggressive by comparison. Some people don't like that much change.

Sometimes people will paint the wheel wells a contrasting color like black.
