Clear Bra or Stripes - Which Goes on Top?

I'm getting my MCS next week and I'm planning on getting both a clear bra and viper stripes (both after-market). My question is whether I should get the stripes or the clear bra done first.

I've read on NAM about people who have gotten their clear bra over their stripes. I'm assuming that this is because their cars came from the factory with the stripes and then they had the clear bra installed later. Some people have complained about the part of the stripes under the clear bra becoming a different color (I guess because of fading?). But, I'm also thinking that if I get the clear bra and then the stripes, the stripes won't be smooth where the clear bra stops.

Any suggestions?

Either way there's a line where the 2 cross over so aethetically its 6 of one half a dozen the other. However, you're more likely to change your stripes than you are your bra and its cheaper to change your stripes than your bra as long as your stripes are over the bra. If your stripes are under the bra then you have to get both done if you need to change stripes for any reason. I had new stripes over my bra and dealer got some solvent on one stripe when replacing my wind sheild. They were lucky to get away with the cost of only a new stripe because my stripe was over the bra, but it was a good example of why stripes over is probably the best choice.

I don't have the bra, but would have to agree with the stripes-on-top crowd. I have really nice vinyl stripes but after 1.5 years they look a bit dull and have water-spot-like marks. You are probably going to replace your stripes before you replace that very tough bra.

Gotcha. Makes sense. I was thinking the same thing about being more likely to change the stripes than the bra, but I wasn't sure if there was a reason that people got them underneath, other than the fact that they were already on when the car was delivered.
