It's Official!

M2C2 has again been invited to participate in the AutoFair car show at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Saturday April 5th from 8:00am until 6:00pm.

We have been given space for 20 MINIs to be displayed. The AutoFair will be awarding 5 trophies to the MINIs in our club.

If you have never been to the AutoFair you are in for a treat. More than 150,000 people attend this event over a 4 day period. Please check this link for more information.

This is an honor for our club to be invited to attend this event. We need to fill all 20 spaces. You must be a club member to participate. Please post here to be added to the list.

We need to be in place by 7:30 AM.

The plan is to meet at the Starlight Theater parking lot just off I-485 at Hwy 29 around 6:00 and caravan the last couple of miles by about 6:30 as we need to be in place by 7:30. Entrance passes and car tags will be handed out at the theater.

ALSO, IF YOU ARE A NEWBIE BRING LAWN CHAIR TO SIT IN AND A SMALL COOLER WITH YOUR CHOICE OF BEVERAGE. WE WILL HAVE FREE WATER WHILE IT LASTS.

I need everyone signing up for the show to send me their email address (@ cdiel1@windstream.net) so I can send pertinent information packets as I receive them from the show coordinator.

EVEN THOUGH THE 20 SPACES ARE FULL, PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU WANT TO GO AND IF WE HAVE A CANCELLATION WE WILL NOTIFY YOU. ALSO SOMEONE IS GOING TO WIN A GREAT PRIZE?????

Count the BLUCOOPR in but since I have won Best Show twice I am making my car ineligible for the top honor. This is great show and if you win the Best of Show you will have to come back Sunday and be in the parade lap and get your photo made with Humpy Wheeler and they will send you a copy for framing autographed by Humpy and nice letter, plus the BIG TROPHY. So sign up early and don't be left out. Also make sure your 2008 dues are paid up. I just looked at the date, I am going to put the hammer down to get back from Vegas and Denver for this one. Glad I got cruise control!!

I think I'll tag along for this one too. It may be a little challenge to keep my MINI perfectly clean all the way from Asheville... Especially the white rims with all the break dust... Any pointers? Should I just bring a micro-fiber to wipe the car down pre-show?

 

What we did in the fall, was to have a few bottles of water.. and tire cleaner, and cleaned up when we got there! It worked well.. most of us brought our cleaning gear

 

Damn, I will be in Vegas that weekend. And I live so close, I could wake up at 5:45 and still make it by 6:00. I really wanted to attend one of your shows and get some pointers!

 

I plan on bring the BoJangle Biscuits, anyone want to volunteer the coffee?? We will have plenty of water as Hendrick usually gives us a couple cases and we have a big cooler.

Listen up everyone. Once again Shelly has invited us to dine in the Speedway Club overlooking Lowes Speedway as her guest. If you would like to eat there afterwards please post so she can make reservations. You owe it to yourself if you haven't done it. Just put shirt with collar and ladies a jacket if your in t shirt. They have not been real strict with the dress codes in the past but we don't want to be the one for them to do so. Any questions email TASOMINI or m2c2secretary about dress code.
