R50/53 Somehow passed inspection with no red reflectors...
Went through it this morning. No questions, no comments, no nothing.
So, obviously this doesn't mean I can't still get in trouble for having the car this way but I REALLY wanted to avoid putting any red on the back unless there are some small or thin reflectors I can put somewhere so that it's not so obvious.
I notice antsmini has the same kind of thing. Good for him!
I'm not sure why I'm being so weird about this.....still trying to get Ryan (redmini03) to tell me how to do the side clear trim light mod

Inspection? In AZ? Other than an emissions inspection and when they check an out-of-state car for VIN numbers, what other inspections are there in AZ??!!!

I've gone through this twice now. In my last car that I took to the DMV after moving here and now with the mini. They walked around and checked it out and made sure everything was working.
Perhaps it's specific to Scottsdale?
not sure....

No red reflectors...where? on the rear fender?
In my state we have yearly safety inspections. If you are referring to having white tail lights and no rear reflectors mounted on your rear bumps clearly visible to headlights on approach from the rear of the car at 200 feet then yes to be legal you need to have rear red reflectors.
Whether or not you get a ticket or pass the inspection is immaterial. It can be an oversight because the inspector does not know the law. This can be easily remedied by installing the stock red tail lights for the inspection and replacing them in ten minutes with the white lights.
All Minis in my state with the white tail lights fail to put on the red reflectors except for me. I'm not sure why. Our cars were inspected at the dealership with red tail lights then we did the mod or the dealer did it. None have the red reflectors at time of sale-not even the dealer installed lights. Go figure. They know the law.
