R50/53 Is this a good deal for '05 S?
Is this a good deal for '05 S?
It's got pretty much every option but navigation.
2005 dark blue mini cooper S with automatic transmission.
30195 miles on it with clean history.
I am getting it through an auction broker and the car is wholesale priced at 16000 dollars. (i have to add another 1000 for the broker, so it makes it 17000 dollars)

Its a great deal compared to book value but keep in mind that a brand new S Can be had for around 4k more and it would give you at least two more years of driving (at the typical rate) and a warranty, etc. Plus you would also probably get a much better interest rate on a new one.
I think you'll do well either way but if I was in your price range, I would seriously consider a new one.

To know if it is a real deal you should get the the original build list from MINI. If you have access to the VIN call 1-800-ask-mini and they can tell you what the car was build with.
It does sound to be a good deal. Do you have any pics of the car?
