Other than SAAB
I heard saab is great & plan to go there when I need an alignment but when I need tire mounting, balancing, or rotating I go to the Goodyear by my office. I can vouch for 2 Goodyears, the one on Hwy 31 in Hoover & the one on Valleydale Rd in Riverchase
I've had good luck at Big 10 in Pelham. They just mounted and balanced a new set of wheels for The Clown Car for me. Havent had them do any work on the MINI yet though. But I wouldnt hesitate to go there.
Thanks for the info. Next time I'll order from Tire Rack and have them shipped to NTW. But I had a bad tire today, and didn't want to risk it (to save $100), so I went with some local Tire Professionals (but saved $50). Took half the time as getting my flat fixed on Weds (One hour versus two).
And, no, I hadn't driven it since they patched the tire.

Charlie is a very nice and reasonable guy. Back in May, I was accidentally charged a little more than quoted but noticed it after I had already paid. Because I was in a rush to get to the Dragon that morning, he offered to make it right the next time I was in. Last week I needed 2 new tires installed and he did the work for free when a small discount would have been more than enough.
My Saab experience....yesterday
My original Run Flats got 26,500 and had to all be replaced. My husband found the Bridgestone tires recommended by Stephen Wittkop up at Redstone Arsenal Tire for a great price, warranty and no tax.
Saab mounted my tires and did an alignment. They also honored to the free rotation and balance every 5,000 miles for the life of the tires, even though they were bought elsewhere. That’s pretty awesome. It was all worth the price!
BTW, The new tires feel like floating on a cloud or soft butta...but I can't really bare down in the tight curves like I did with the hard walled run flats.
It’s like wearing new shoes.

No, you're right. They're great. (To a point,) I always felt like I was being treated right. But when you are insulted by the help, you can do two things: 1) Speak to the owner 2) Take your business elsewhere.
The bottom line to me is to have the best work done on my car. If I feel they are the best for the task, it's worth it.
Hope it all get worked out for you LP
I still haven't needed an alignment on the MINI. I'm kinda shocked but I haven't. When I do need one though I plan to go to saab for sure but for plain old tire installs I will stick with Goodyear. They are close & really, how hard is it to change a tire?
