In General, if you were bought a stock 02 - 06 MCS and wanted to do upgrades to it where would you start? Are there mods that work well when they are all done at the same time (cash being the limiting factor) What mods can you get away with and not void the factory warranty?

Thats what was throwing me off... I guess there isn't a definition for them... Or a general CAI, Pulley, CAT/B is stage 1. Add coil overs, header and IC for stage 2...

No one that I know lists them as "stages" besides tuners like Dinan or MINI Madness. The general 1-2-3 bolt-ons for an MCS are pulley, intake, exhaust. After that it's whatever you want and how much you want to spend!

Some vendors have created their own stages. Otherwise there is no set in stone list of what constitutes various stages of mods. There are some informal "stages". The Mad-Modders Club takes at least 15 mods, not including stickers and the like. Then there is the $10k Club for those that have that much or more.
