Not Nav or Audio - If a gen II Mini does not have the Convenience package, or the Universal garage door opener, from the factory - Is fitting the rear view mirror with the Universal Garage door opener (Homelink) possible. Is there a post purchase kit?

 

I believe that it was possible with the 1st gen MINIs and so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same for the 2nd gen cars. However, I do remember it being VERY expensive since you have to purchase a whole new rear view mirror. The car doesn't require programming for this (as the homelink stuff is built into the mirror itself) and I believe that all of the cars come pre-wired for the upgraded mirrors. If you do a search of the 1st gen forums you might find the post I'm remembering.
