Can we get bluetooth after the fact?

OEM, not a wire in solution. I'm into audio not intercepting stuff like with teh parrot unit. (i've had it, like it, but dont want it). The oem bluetooth would be ****.

Thanks!!
Josh

As per MINI of USA technical department, at this present time, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone capability cannot be retrofitted to an R56, whether or not it came with Navigation.

I don't know if this is going to be the same for you guys over there... I'm in Scotland.

I was in the dealers on Sat. and the guy tells me that there is going to be a dealer retrofit (bluetooth) kit coming to the market soon. He couldn't give me date but the fact that they have preliminary details suggests that it shouldn't be too long.

You might be better off with Mike The Mini's retrofit. at least you would have a wider choice of phones that would work.

Any pics of the unit and wiring? It sounds priced right. Any install tips? I just upgraded my speakers and I'd love an inexpensive bluetooth upgrade!

Mike, just to clarify - your setup uses Parrot as the base and also intercepts hi-fi audio from the headunit - which a96 I think is trying to avoid... Is there a separate speaker available for your setup please ?

I ran a separate speaker in a parrot setup before, not a fan! I wanted something that will go directly into the oem head unit.. like the stock one. Guess I'll have to wait till its available. Oh well!

have fun,
Josh
