Stainless steel brake lines for JCW brakes?

Need help. Does anyone know who manufactures or stocks stainless steel brake lines for the r53 JCW front brakes? Are ss brake lines for the stock r53 cooper s brakes compatible?

I'd like to know too.

I've seen on Mini Mania the disclaimer "not compatible with JCW Big Brake Kits" for their steel braided brake lines and wondered if that is applicable to their product only. I can't find a similar disclaimer on anyone else's web site.

Somebody hook a Brother up!

I have a few four line kits left collecting dust....

The front set has an M10 banjo if I recall. Not clear on what makes them not fit the JCW parts but if you want to shoot me a pic of what you have I'll do what I can to offer some suggestions.

I contacted Chad at Detroit Tuned and he said ss brake lines made for the r53 cooper s will work. I verified this by downloading the factory install instructs for the r53 jcw brakes. The jcw brakes apparently reuses the existing brake lines. (The jcw brake kit comes with replacement banjo bolts and washer to be used with existing brake lines.) The only exception for the ss brake lines concerns the rear brakes which is based on the model year of your mini. By the way, Chad/DT rocks!

I'm running the JCW brakes with the stainless lines available at Helix. They fit fine, bolted right up with the hardware included with the JCW kit. (3/05 build MCS, installed brake kit 12/06).

Hi guys,

Do the Goodridge st steel brake lines (#31046) fit the JCW brake kit for R53's?

I've seen that there were different build phases for the JCW kit. I'd bought mine last year as new so should be ok for fitment. Coud any of your verify that the following two would match each other?

Btw my R53 is a late 06. So rears should be straight fit. My only concern is for the front set due to JCW setup. Sorry for the small pic of Goodridge. As far as I see, it doesn't have the banjo setup for front (longer lines).

Yes. The 4-line kits fit both stock and JCW calipers.

Not sure if I still have some hose kits but if you'd like to give me a call I will check. If so, they are far nicer fitting than many of the others. And competitively priced with shipping.

Goodridge SS for R53 JCW Brakes

hi people,
I'm new here.

Would like to enquire whats the final word on R53 JCW Brakes with Goodridge SS lines...
my drive is a Mini Cooper S R53 JCW 2005 with JCW brake kit installed in 2006, and i'm planning on getting the Goodridge SS lines.

I've asked the world but cant seem to get a proper answer.

-Do they actually fit?
-Is this the part number that fits - Goodridge # 31046
-Are there more than 1 type of Goodridge i.e G-stop and more??
-Does anyone actually have this combo on their cars? maybe an aye or a show of hands please

Truly appreciate your help guys

Thanks
Roops

Yeah a Goodridge P/N would be nice?
Especially for 05-06 JCW.
Anybody?

Brake hose

from the thousands of emails i sent and the handful of replies, this is what i know, atleast for the R53 JCW's

Pre 2003
Rear - Banjo style fittings
Front - Banjo style fittings (JCW)

Post 2003 models
Rear - Straight fit
Front - Banjo style fittings (JCW)
if my eyes arent skewed thats what i thought i saw on my car

And it would actually be the same for non JCW's as there is no Brake hose change, only some added bushings/connectors for JCW brakes which bolt on to the existing front brake hose. so technically there shouldnt be any issues with these standard Goodridge lines

So best is if anyone can visually inspect the Goodridge SS brake lines to see the connectors

I've got some replies that the Goodridge part number 31046 should fit the post 2003 JCW's - but i dont know anyone personally who has em.

Correct me if i'm wrong

cheers
