Just wondering, what prices do people pay for the LABOR on installing new bonnet stripes?

Thinking of buying the fiancee bonnet stripes for our mini for her birthday, just wondering what I can expect.

I will be taking it to Mini of Towson btw.

just do it your self, it's not difficult.

 

I would expect to pay around $100-$125 for the dealer to install them. You can do it yourself, but it's a pita. All you need is a spray bottle filled with water, a few drops of dishwashing liquid, a plastic squeegy thing, and a lot of patience.

It's much easier to apply decals wet than to try and do it dry. Good luck!

 

I don't know about your dealer, but MINI of Mountian View charges $150 per hour for installations.

You should check out the possibilities available from Aesthetic Creations and Cooper Flags. I put my stripes on. It is easy on areas that don't have a lot of tight compound curves. The bonnet is easy. The boot is extremely difficult -- I gave up.

 

most dealers sub out the job. http://www.cooperflags.com/installers.cfm has a list of installers around the country - try calling one of them. probably the same shops that do the work for the dealer. I know MoS doesn't do them in house.

no, not a GP. Other than the red mirrors, it has little in common. Stripes were done by Mike at Aesthetic Creations.

 

Asked my dealer since I was ordering without stripes and just in case I wanted them added later on she said $300. That includes the stripes and labor.

 

I am getting stripes on my car for $188 in Canada. this price includes the parts and labor. However, I am getting this done pre-delivery. Not sure if that makes a difference.

 

How much do you want for your mini-gp look-alike?

Mine were comped when I purchased. The racing stripes were around $80.00 and I think they would install them for around $100.00+- $20. Email the service/parts department and ask.
