you have a 17+2 so your about the same as a 19% pulley reduction. most tuners require larger injectors for the 19% and tune. if you change your injectors, you will also need to do something with your ecu. the stock software will run pig rich with the 380's or above. you will need to do either a piggyback, standalone, or flash. you cant get everything out of a injector without a tune.

so just injectors wont do much but make the car run really rich. but combined with the tune the injectors will really liven up your mini. as always welcome to the 19% club:

I just did my giac and love it with the 19% pulley.

hope this helps.

the only way to know for sure is to get air fuel measurements..... if the car is running safe then you do not need them..... find a tuner to help you

Autometrics Motorsports here in charleston. and as spider said, the only way to tell if you REALLY need them is to dyno the car and see if there is the 6000 rpm lean spot.

This may sound a bit odd ... but wouldn't you throw as CEL light if you were lean ??? (and WAY before it was an issue)

I have talked to several tuners and if you lean out bigger injectors it is the SAME as smaller (although running at a lower percentage of their duty cycle)

If you need the fuel at WOT or close ... sure ... but I think MANY are installed just to add to the "mod list"

This is why I have been skeptical of bigger injectors as well.

not necessarily...... my car was tuned and adapted to lean over time without throwing the corresponding code..... the cost of detonation and damage is way too high.....considering you can avoid it by having it checked....

chris, it looks like you are close to needing at least 380 injectors plus a flash.
looks like it might be time to do a dyno run then you will know for sure what you need.

Yeah I know MINICHEF I have been putting it off and I really shouldn't. I just do not know which tune to buy...I think the GIAC for now...until I get the funds for a new head header and catback...etc...
