I love those trees and I'm frequently trying to find a good location to shoot with them while they are in bloom here in San Jose. You made a good choice.

Great to see such a fine classic Mini photo in the contest too. Wish more classic Mini owners would enter the monthly contests...

 

Good job sideache! I knew the colors were going to beat us to a pulp. The classic is really nice too. Parked like that shows the small town atmosphere; that would be the short cut around here and you would have been run over.
Please post some out-takes to show you didn't just jump out and snap just one shot.

I hate those trees!
Backup . . . Jacarandas are nice to look at when in bloom but I abhore cleaning up after them. The fallen flowers' residue is a b!tch to clean. I've seen automotive paint jobs get permanently ruined from these flowers.

Maybe it's just the jacaranda trees here in SoCal, what with our polluted air.

Anyway, depite my distaste for the trees, I really liked the photo enough to enthusiastically vote for it.
