Ordered My 07 Mini

A day after the greatest Astros baseball game in recent years 6-28-07, when Biggio hits his 3000th hit and they came from behind to beat the Rockies in the 11th inning. Ahhh ok on to more excitement, I ordered my 207 MINI. (kidda cool 27th player, 2--7 MINI Coop)

I don't know what to do next. I suppose I should find things to keep me busy so I don't drive myself crazy playing the waiting game.
Is there somewhere I can go to learn MINI lingo?
Anyways just wanted to gloat abit. Altho still hasn't hit me yet.

Thsi site can teach you MORE than you ever wanted to know about your new purchase. There is even a support group of sorts for those playing the waiting game .

Yes, you can learn quite a bit here, but I wouldn't say more than I want to know, I always want to know more!

Congrats on your order! May it be a speedy delivery!

In the 1st gear forum, there's a sticky called "cheat sheet" that has lots of abbreviations. If not there, way-way-way at the bottom of the page of motoringfile.com explains the model numbers R53, R56, etc.

I'm a Mets man, but always like Biggio. Good for him.

Congratulations, from a fellow H-towner (Biggio, Biggio . . . ).

Just ordered my MINI today as well, from Momentum. Painless 30 minute process (PWx3, Auto, White Turns. Oak, Carbon cloth, Auto-AC, DSC, Xenons, Rear fogs, MFSW). I'll have a production number next week, car should be here in mid-August.

Congrats on the orders! Seeing these new orders with estimated delivery times of when mine is suppose to arrive is kind of depressing though. Oh well, I'll get over it. I guess thats the price I pay for being on the West Coast (longer ship times).

Welcome to NAM!

Order details - R56 MCSa, Pepper White with roof and mirrors in body color, white turns. Opted for cloth seats due to the extreme heat here in Houston and no sun roof for the same reason. Multi-function wheel in leather-anyone know what became of the wood rimmed wheel? I don't see it in the configurator anymore? Also, what's on the MFSW anyway? Cruise? Audio? It depends on other options?

I thought the checkered dash surface was a little too busy and ordered English Oak which comes with piano black on the door rings. Basically, the car is all white on the outside and all black on the inside with a hint of wood. All white/all black; I wonder if Oreo would be a good name

My MA (Laurie) at Momentum was great to work with. How many other MINI dealerships have their own racetracks? My test drive a couple of weeks ago included a couple of hot laps with their test driver Armando! Note to self - do not buy used demonstrators from MINI, they've been rode hard!

I like the MINI because it's practical, gets good mileage, it's fun to drive and just sitting in it makes me smile . Also, these forums full of advice and good people are a big bennie; nothing like a car with its own cult !

Very nice! Re: track, that sounds like a great set up the dealership has, they can let people open a Mini up a little bit and not have to worry about traffic. I wish my dealership had one
