Cooper using Cooper S Exhaust
Cooper using Cooper S Exhaust
I would like to install Cooper S Body Kit to my Mini Cooper.
Mini Cooper S is using center exhaust pipe and Cooper is side pipe.
I have a set of original Cooper S Exhaust systems ( whole parts ), any comment on the side effect?

You could just put the valence from the cooper and leave your exhaust on the side. The twin mufflers may effect the efficiency of your car and lower power. I'm not totally sure though.
Putting a Cooper S rear bumper on a Cooper is no promblem. All you need to do is remove the lower portion of the Cooper rear bumper and switch it out with the one on the Cooper S bumper.
Unless of course you are modifying your exhaust to a Cooper S exhaust.
That mod I have seen but haven't done. My Borla does me just fine and I like having a spare; so that I don't need to have runflat tires.

I have an MC and not an S and i put the S bumpers on my car i just used the lower rear valence off my cooper bumper. the front bumper needs some cutting of the bumper support to work and to move the foglights to a new location its not hard at all. pics in my gallery
I would like to point one thing out here, installing a Cooper S exhaust on a Mini Cooper non S will cause a small loss in power from 3000-4000rpm.
Many owners here in Europe have done this conversion and found out that their car felt just a little bit slower (this was also proven on a dyno).
The reason why this is the case, is because the Cooper S exhaust (the rear part) causes more pressure compared to the stock exhaust on a Cooper non S.
The looks will improve, but you will experience a small loss in power/torque.
Nothing to get worried about, the loss is marginal.
Just letting you know.
Kind regards

A full 2-sided S exhaust will also weigh more. This is one of the reasons S owners sometimes do the one-ball surgery or switch to one of the 1-sided exhausts that have come out for the S.
