Antenna Filler

I wanted to remove the antenna on the mini. I think it looks sleaker without it. Just my opinion. I don't want a stubby either. Has anyone ever removed the antenna completely? I want to, but want to make sure there is not a whole were the screw would go. Maybe some type of filler peice?

Maybe I'm just nuts!

Since a wire goes to it, I am certain there IS a hole.

It'll look like the piece on BMWs, nothing sticking up. But you may want to insert a screw into the hole and paint/Sharpie it black in case you want an antenna someday or if the radio suffers.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I think I might experiment and see what I can come up with.

Let us know if you are successful. I removed mine and am using a piece of rubber that is a bumper from a computer rack or something. I screwed it in and i was pretty happy with it. But, i cover my car and i learned that the threads are not grabbing it very well because it comes off every time.

I am probably going to match the threads, then screw in something stainless with antiseeze, then make a little rubber plug to have it flush.
