Anyone down South Jersey?

It's lonely being the only Mini in Cumberland County.

Well, maybe not the only, but one of the few and proud...

Holla from Edison! Yup, you're WAY south of 195, that's definitely South Jersey :-D I wonder if there's a "down the jersey shore" run?

I'm down at exit 80 off of the GSP, and a " down the jersey shore" run would be something that I would definetely enjoy.

We've done a few "minis in the pines" runs that are in south jerz and end up on LBI. I guess that qualifies. For more info about runs and fun things go to www.nemini.org

Yeah, I'm all the way down here. (Hint: It takes me a half hour to get *UP* to the Delaware Memorial Bridge!)

And with no Mini dealerships anywhere in the region (an hour-plus to Otto's in PA is the closest), I don't get to wave at many fellow motorers. There are BMW dealerships in Gloucester and Camden counties, but no Mini's attached.

Ironically, though, there are two other Minis at my workplace. But those are the only two I ever see.

The positive is that everybody oohs and aahs over my new MCS because they're so uncommon 'round these here parts.

Two different Jersey shores!

That run is over *130* miles away from me! whine whine whine

In fact, I had to look it up on Mapquest cuz I had no idea where it was, lol... down here, the "shore" = wildwood, Atlantic City, Cape May, etc.

Damn I feel like I live in Australia or something!

Relax MalteseFalcn & Jersey Boy, there are others who live near you & know that to get to a MINI dealer, you have to cross a bridge.

Wow! S. Jerseyers!

Well nice to see I'm not alone down here!

(And no, I'm actually south of Salem county... see how far down I am!)

But I did used to work in Salem... yep, lots more pickups than Mini's. (Though I used to have a pickup truck myself, so I can't talk...)

I feel your pain. But its summertime, at least theres more people down there this time of the year. I know what it's like down along the bay in the winter. There is no place more depressing then Eldora in the winter.

You're right! I forgot that Cumberland county is south of Salem county.
Lived in PA most of my life and just moved back here a couple of years ago.
I must admit my wife and I took a ride last week to get ice cream in
Swedeboro and saw a Mini at Vesuvious (ice cream and pizza stand).
I do enjoy not much traffic on the back roads although not too many twisties!

Okay, chalk up one for more the Deep South, Atl Co qualifies.

I think it's probably more fun motoring down here, too. I like the twisty country back roads, that's pretty much all I drive every day. Much more enjoyable than sitting in Newark rush-hour looking at brake lights in front of me.

(Although in all fairness, there probably isn't much difference between Newark rush hour and Cherry Hill rush hour...)

As I work on Rt. 70 in Cherry Hill, I'll attest to that statement.

I used to LIVE on Rte 70 in Cherry Hill (Barclay Towers, behind the travel agency with the airplane painted on the building), so we could see the traffic piling up in all directions twice a day from our apartment window... :impatient

At least if I lived on Rt. 70 (If that's called living) I could walk to work.

'twasn't so bad, cuz Barclay wasn't that far off the Rte. 295 exit. So once I got past the worst merge in the history of south jersey roadways (exit 34B), it was only a 10-minute crawl to go about 1 mile. Then I could sit up in my condo and laugh at all the drivers still stuck down there on the highway.

Til I realized that I had to go out for dinner or something, and had to go jump back into it.

C'mon man, it's a MINI, heck I drive 105 miles round trip to work everyday! You gotta put some miles on that there MINI
We, (me and Mrs. Mr. Jim) sometimes take a run down to Cape May to hit this one place that has some killer peppers stuffed with provolone and prosciutto and a couple of Guiness's. South Jersey is just a state of mind.

Blecch... I used to do the 100 mile roundtrip commute (Cherry Hill to Salem County) every day. I pounded mileage onto my Honda Civic like ya wouldn't believe. Well, you would, I guess.

Glad I'm only 6 miles down a country road now, MUCH more pleasant commute, even if it means less motoring time...

Sounds good, I could go for some good peppers and a beer. And Cape May isn't all that far.

Mini-less 'round here

Today I drove over an hour through Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester and Camden counties (and back!) and saw only ONE Mini that whole time!

It was a Yellow w/Black stripes (Bumblebee Mini) in Cherry Hill. So hallo if that was you.

Well, okay...

Reckon I can amend my own last post, since I was out today and saw two Mini's just in Salem county alone. So I guess it's just the luck o' the draw when you're out and about...
