Hey SB! Welcome to Collector's Corner! 55 is a good start, but you've got to get some pictures
Here is my updated collection:

Got to work on getting some better lighting! The JL's in the lower left are dups of the ones on the shelf, same for the HW's in the protecto-pacs.
Found a few this weekend at the local "close out store" and some non mini related special cars.

These Mothers Brand came with some Mothers Wax. I've now got enough for about 2 years

But they do go well with the Mothers MINI

The hunt continues for the new HW #140. It's all over eBay but nothing on the shelf at any of our local stores. If I find any I'll be sure to try and pick up more then one and let you guys know. Good luck!

Anyway, I was strolling through the Walley World, (Ok, ok I went straight to the toy department, feel better?) Was looking for the new HW, but came across this variation of the older #7 Matchbox MINI Cooper S

Doesn't look much different does it? Let me give you another angle:

No stripes and the grille is done in body color!
This is a first for me, finding something like this on the shelf.
I spotted them about a week ago at Target. Total confusion
-- looks like a new issue but I coulda sworn I already had that version. So I got one instead of my usual two
. Got home and figured out the difference. Fortunately they still had the second one when I returned the next day. So now I have one at home, and one in the collection on my desk at work! All is well with the world again .

I found a first run Johnny Lightning Hollywood On Wheel, Italian Job MC in white. This is the Clean White version with the METAL bottom, MOC.
I already have this from BOBBIEJ, so I'm willing to trade if anybody has a first run JL, HOW, IJ MCS in RED - Clean Red with the METAL bottom, MOC.

I have one of those, and the Sin City MINI Club owns 2 (1 27mHz and 1 43mHz). We were going to run races with them for prizes at AMVIV, but with the rain moving the Boot and Bonnet Show down a level, we lost the venue.
Would people be interested in such an event next year, you think?

BTW Agro your Omini is on it's way.
Yeah, I got the tracking info. Thanks.
The point of using 2 of these MINIs was that the cars are "theoretically" identical except for the transmitter frequency, and each car would get freshly charged batteries for every race. No advantage conferred by the car, this is testing driver skill.
So you couldn't use your own RC MINIs.

I think Paris puts it best "THATS HOT!"I need to get one of those....
Well, I've checked high and low, and have yet to find one of the new Hot Wheels MINIs.
Anyone else having any luck?
Anyone else having any luck? And you'd think someone would come out with the Cabriolet in a 1/64 format.... don't they know MINIs are still hot and cute???
Seriously, does anyone know how often the big three (HW, JL, and MB) introduce new cars? Should I just write 2005 off, or should I keep checking?

I have a new collection of classic minis. This was a great manufactures score.
I can not believe the detail that went into these minis. They are 1/72 scale. Rubber tires ,diecast, authentic rally minis, even has two of our vendor sponcers on them. The detail is amazing!
Did I mention the detail is amazing!
