awesome, make sure to send me pics .

I still have my other seat in the basement, trying to convince my wife she needs one too

I am going to be welding up a frame for the rear seats, and putting them in the garage as a small bench seat

Thanks ALL.... will shop around again. When I started looking a month or 2 ago, there were no DS's. Looks like they made one.

Smokey, THAT is AWSOME!!!! That one looks exactly like mine. Same wheels, lots of chrome.... I love it. Wish it were an R56, I'd give ya $1000 for it!!

Oh and it's in DS too

Darmog is right they are expensive around $65 or at least that's what the JCW version I picked up a few years ago ran.

A few words of caution though, They're addicting

I bought this one from the UK back in 02.

It's what started me down the expressway to status as "that guy with all the toy cars"

BTW, that was the only place I could find a DS/B with sliding sunroof and the x-lite wheels. Which at the time matched my car

Good luck with the search

I was so tempted to order one of those r56 1:18 scale models from the dealers but they don't have a PW one in that scale, only in the a smaller scale. But the DS/W one does look pretty sweet. Quick, order one, Birdman, so we can see one more close-up. :P

I thought I would ask the experts. does anyone have or make a mini cooper that is smaller than 1/87 or HO scale? Either MINI or mini.

Any one know if this model will be available in the states, or is it available only at UK dealerships?

There are mini MINI's made for model railroads in N scale (1:160) and even Z scale (1:220). Not sure about the detail on these models, though. As small as they would be, you probably wouldn't see much detail anyway. Here is a link to some of the N scale MINIs(at bottom of page). I don't know of any die cast MINIs that small, but there may be some out there.

MINIxB, I think those are R/C MINIs(and awesome ones at that). FWIW, I recently found a model kit of a classic Mini that is 1/12 scale.

Those are Tamiya RC Minis. S03 chassis I think, maybe S04, can't remember. They are fast and front wheel drive. . Found them on eBay, search for Mini Cooper RC and you will see them, many vendors sell them. I bought the ones that were already put together, but you will need battery packs to make them run.

Autoart recently release the '07 Cooper and Cooper S in 1:43 scale.

I was planning on getting the Chili red Cooper S but someone made a boo boo: http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/s...php?item=55006

Also the fuel door is all wrong.

Aside from the fuel door, is the other boo boo you're talking about the bonnet stripes not matching the roof? sucks...i've been looking for a R56 S model in CR/W

Yep. They also have a Sparkling Silver with black roof and black bonnet stripes. I may get that one. There's also a Pepper white but no photo is available.

I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I am still around! Anywho, wanted to give you guys a heads up. This Matchbox Austin Mini Van has started showing up in a 10 pack:

The 10 pack includes some other nice models, including the new car carrier, Alfa Romeo, and Lotus Exige.

Great. Now that's 2 Matchbox Minis that I need to hunt down. Good thing I have a 4-yr old son who can take all the other cars.

Ebay. My love hate relationship.

Ebay is fantastic in the sense that I get the opportunity to buy cool stuff that I wouldn't normally find locally. However, you never know what you're going to get until you get it.

I bid and won this auction for an Autoart Black/White MC. I got a pretty good deal, too. Unfortunately, the seller made a mistake in his description of the product. When I received it this weekend, I noticed that it was actually BRG/White. No big deal, but I already have one.

I've contacted the seller to make sure it wasn't a mistake in shipping. I have a feeling that it was just a mistake in color description. Errrrrrrg.

EDIT: It's going to Jack.

Here is the auction:
