It was in a subscription copy, but it's not a pull-out like the Motoring Citations ad so I would imagine that it would also be in the newsstand issues.
I wonder if some of the ads that are out are left over from the old agency (like the Motoring Citations) and some (like the new grab handle ad) are from the new agency. I'm not sure how that works...

Thanks for the explanation of CP&B not handling MC's advertising any more. Anyone know who is and what kinds of ads the company has done for other clients so we can tell if the high quality (and general fun) will continue?
I've noticed the VW ads are cute! Anyone selling them on eBay? I'm just wondering if I could sell the ones I find to support my MC ad-collecting addiction!

seems like all is good here in MINI collecterville!
The MINI Citations ad is in the new subscription addition of the Rolling Stone with Bono on the cover. I also noted on an ebay listing that the Magic 8 Ball ad was in Maxim-subsription ad but not sure if it was Oct or Nov. 05. I'm looking for this one also Donna so I was paying attention!
And who knows anything about the ad that is listed on ebay that says that it is new and is a stencil??

And finally when will we know about the new ad company?

By visiting the Owner's Lounge, I found out that the new ad for the stencil is in Blender and since they said it's not out yet, I'm assuming it's the November subscription issue- If anyone knows for sure, let me know:smile:

I managed to get the 8 Ball tank ad - purely by having some fun....Yippee! The dealer here in So Cal had a ralley a few weeks ago - gave away a goodie package to everybody and low and behold in mine - yes sir reeee...the 8 Ball ad...
So now I have all 3....
But........I'm having a heck of a time getting a hold of the MINI Citations - darn - seems they are only in subscriptions - of which we are not subscribers (figures)..... So, if you or anybody gets their hands on an extra, I'd be happy to take it off your hands and gladly pay for it.....

I figured you were still safe and sound and probably motoring in the South of France or vacationing in some other equally lovely place!!
From what I can understand from your messages -- I've been hiding my stacks of magazines all summer but will be rewarded this fall because they'll have Mini ads in them?! No longer need I be ashamed of the "nekkid" ladies? No longer need I remember not to put certain magazines in the Boy Scouts' paper drive bin at church? Yippee! Woo-hoo!
I had no luck with stores here selling Grassroots Magazine or finding the MC ad in the newsstand copy of Oct. Spin, so I'll be back to haunting the aisles of eBay if anyone is selling those ads. Puh-leeeze!!!!
On another topic, how are gas prices where y'all are? I'm in Oklahoma City. The day after Katrina hit, regular was $3.15. Yesterday, it was $2.07. Go figure?!!? Of course, I like to treat my precious Suzcoop to the next highest grade of gasoline but am just using the prices for regular as a comparison.

My oh my have Ian and Donna gone mad??!!! The Motoring ball is over 145!!! Wish I still had an extra!!!

I found the grassroots Motorsport mag at my local grocery store by the way Susan. Look for the Motorsport to be the big part of the title and the grassroots part on the top left hand corner above it. I also found SPIN at Borders. Someone from work is bringing me the new stencil ad from their Nov. Blender subscription issue- I need to find Maxim for my magic 8 ball ad and I might just be caught up....
Oh no I'm not... still looking for an old Metropolis with the 4 items and the white roof...ah ....the thrill of the hunt!!!

I feel so much better about spending the "outrageous" (according to my husband) amount of $50 for my MINI Magic 8 Ball a while back. Now I kinda feel like I got a bargain!!
Also, The gas cap ad is in the November Issue of Maxim (subscription copy). I got another 8 ball, so if anyone would like to trade an eyeball for an 8 ball let me know!

Thanks to some guys in my club, I got the IMAG-A-MINI template ad and the 3rd and final gas tank lid decal!
I have a couple extras of the Bloodshot Eye Gas Tank Lid Decal ad and the MOTORING CITATION ad for any of you regulars if you still need them.
One of my German friends is sending me a Welcome Package from last weekend's MINI UNITED meet. I can't wait to get it. :smile:
I also made my MINI more collectible. I added a JCW Tuning Kit (no. 475) to my MINI Cooper. Now it's a very rare MC.
