Too cool!! I would love to hear the stories on how you found such great 1/1 scale pieces for display! I have a collection/room with over 150 models and diecast cars in 1/43 - 1/12 scale, Lotus is prominent, starting with J. Clark's #82 and then moving on through the years with JPS and Camel of Fittipaldi and Senna. The pieces you have and how displayed are wonderful! Thank you for sharing!

I purchased much of my collection directly from team lotus after they closed shop. many of the pieces once belonged to team personnel such as the yellow "elf" lotus 99T rear wing endplate (shown partially in the pic of the 107B rear diffuser) and was used by ayton senna to a 4th place finish at the 87 austrian GP. others were take-offs during restoration by either team lotus or classic team lotus such as the 1994 alessandro zanardi lotus 109 bargeboard and damper cover and the derek warwick signed 1990 lotus 102 (#11 goodyear) RWEP. .the lotus 109 car is now on permanent display at the Lotus factory in norfolk . a few pieces were purchased from individual collectors(ex: 1984 Lotus JPS 95T FWEP ,Mansell/De Angelis) Every one has been authenticated, tho in some cases their exact race history is undetermined. Many of the parts were used by multiple drivers and in the case of the the side radiator outlet, was used over 2 seasons, 3 drivers and 2 different chassis (herbert /hakkinen/bartels in 92 on the type 102 B and reused in the early 93 season on the 102D by johnny herbert). the large olive green Lotus 102 B "lobster claw" FWEP was a prototype first tested at silverstone by mika hakkinen and again during friday practice at the 92 canadian GP by johnny herbert but not used during the race itself.

Fantastic! Zanardi in the corkscrew, did you take the pic, noticed some camera lenses on your desk in one photo)? Also, saw some sets of bike wheels, are you a cyclist? I ride, have a "vintage" Rossin and more modern LeMond. Since it appears you are a motorsport fan of more that one series, you might enjoy my collection, which is of vintage and modern F1, Indy/CART, CanAm, IMSA, some F5000....I'll post some pics on this sight soon.

This is a bad picture, but it represents about 1/4 of my collection, I think I will put together a short film/youtube of the room, this represents my "mix" of diecast and built models, a lot of resin and white-metal kits along with some Tamiya stuff. Will post more later on....

1/43 scale white metal--

These 3 winners Unser's is a resin kit, Foy'ts a "vacumn form" and Clark's is white metal, all in 1/25 scale...

wow.very impressive collection.i've tried my hand at a few resin kits and just don't have the requisite skills and patience. i esp like the chassis detail of the lotus turbines. very kewl.

btw= those rossin's were a great ride. so yours would date from 1983 (guessing from the crown, graphics and braze-on details)? i'm also pleased you still ride her with sew-ups.

Thank you, the Lotus turbines were quite a bit of work based on the old MPC kits! Then Carousel 1 comes out with their beauties in 1/18 scale, putting all my cars to shame, so I just bought a bunch of their Indy Cars! Was a long time ago when I bought the Rossin, but I think you are right on with '83. Well, no sew-ups on the Rossin, just some gumwall Continentals. Did sew-ups for a few seasons when I was racing in the early/mid-eighties, what a PITA, opted for clinchers the rest of the way(maybe clinchers vs. sew-ups is the biking equivalant of run-flats vs. "normal tires" in the Mini community). Indeed the Rossin is a sweet ride, I use it once or so out of every 10 rides, still feels nimble and firm. I did change the pedals for modern ones, looks like you kept your Campy Super Records on the DeRosa, which looks beautiful! Love the high flange hubs and all the little detail work! The Cinelli looks really nice for a "modern" bike, I am not into the looks of so many of the new bikes, I would gladly ride the Cinelli!
BTW, I hope I did not "thread jack" with the photos I posted, would gladly remove them and start a new thread some other time, I thought about this after posting!

Classic, love it! Never knew the hearts were in the brake levers! Was the yellow paint in the inscriptions and shift lever from the "factory' or did you detail it? I have filled in some engraving on the Rossin, your DeRosa takes it to another level!

here's some detail pics of the cinelli nuovo supercorsa- note the columbus ultrafoco shaped tubeset- pretty wacky for a steel bike, eh?
