Here's a good site to see what kind or clear vinyls are available so you know what to ask for when you go. Some sign supply places allow you to order as little as 1 foot online and you can cut it yourself. You can cut a circle , right DD?
Whoops! http://www.fellers.com/

This has sorta gotten slightly off track - mostly by me. I'd still like to see some more Magnetic Motoring Badge collections.

If you've got them, please post some pics here.

Here are a couple of personal badge ideas. Of course one-offs like these just aren't feasible.

Although unfeasable, they look great

Yes, they are. All you have to do is ask.

I just did one for a soldier....ONE.

What about tribute badges? Anyone? Or, is everybody 'done' with tribute messages because they're starting to look too cheesy?

Ex: "Support Our Troops" "Back The Blue" "Back The Red" "091101".

I, for one, would not like to put a 'ribbon' magnet or a decal right on my paint so MAYBE a version as a grill badge would be cool. I would sport one if it wasn't too cheesy.

I'm not going to get into war politics , but the yellow ribbon in never cheesy if
the message comes from the heart.

I wear the pink ribbon for my mom, but haven't made a badge.

Is there a way to make the ribbon so people have to display it right side up and not sideways (so you can read the text better?!?!)

I guess what I meant to say is that instead of letting the simple ribbon be symbolic of the cause, they're starting to add special messages, graphics and type treatments to try and stand out more. To me, that cheapens the meaning behind the message.

I'm probably being too critical of those executions, given the fact that, in the end, the cause it what is important.

Nope, I agree with you.
If I make that badge, I'd have to donate the profits to the right cause like disabled veterans.

Those are some cool looking additions.

Don't get me started about the name. I mean, why isn't peter, ***** and wiener blocked? I guess when you use it in the form of an insult, it's not really that impactful, like: "Man, that driver was such a wiener!"

Which ones?

I've been itching to get more, but I've got to deal with some speeding tickets and my tires are getting to the point where I need to replace them soon.

1st one is just for some parades, #2 is going into rotation, and number 3 will be used on date nights

Ooh ooh! I want a DickDavid badge for my collection!

Fiskars makes a nice circle cutter. You could get the magnetic material at a sign shop in sheets and make some custom badges. Not sure how you would laminate them though. Maybe just spraying them with acrylic spray would be enough, especially since you can always make yourself a new one.
