Calgary MINI Meet December 05

With the great turn out of the November 2005 meet (Pictures here) I'm sure most of you are eager to go for another one!

When should the next meet be? December is a pretty busy holiday season for many people, so perhaps the next meet should be a little later? You be the judge!

Also, since there will most likely be snow on the road in the next 4 months, perhaps this meet should be in the city? I think a winter autoX course could be fun as well! Or maybe we can do a charity drive to bring kids gifts?

Throw your ideas out here

Cast your vote over at Mini2!

North American Motoring has been kind enough to create a section for us under the Canada forum.

We can post new meets, polls etc in this forum.

I just posted this on MINI2 (we'll probably have to go back and forth for a while).

I wouldn't mind a December charity run, but have no idea how we'd pull it off.
Also, I think we should do some sort of MINI autocross ourselves - maybe next spring? We'd just have to find somewhere we can patch together a tarmac track and try it out. Unless Race City is open again by then.
Just a thought.

December meet. I think a winter auto-x would be fun, but with the dirt/rocks/etc. some people might not be keen on trying it.

A charity toy run would be great as well, if we can organize it in time.

Through the winter months (when there is snow on the ground) we are probably better off just having meets, and skipping the cruise part. Meet up at a restaurant, chat for a while then call it a day. Your thoughts?

I reckon you're right. Last thing we need is someone crashing at meets

I'm ready to meet in december, I will be there if it's before Nov. 20th. I'm flying back home for Xmas holiday, back the jan.4th. If you do a winter autox, I will show up but I won't participate with my car, I think is really bad for the car, the paint, tires. I think the toys run or the meet in a restaurant would be great, or even at the dealer on a sunday after noon just for chat and see the new Mini stuff. I don't know, just a thougth.

I think Tony would like that, he doesn't have any places to wash his car. You know, this is sounding better and better, a show and shine meet at the dealer! Now thats assuming you can get access on a sunday and the owner don't mind, haha.

Tony....I win. Beat this... Took this pic of my car this morning.

Rather than get you a car wash, all of the calgary members have decided to pitch in and get you a new license plate. Now you won't have to worry.
