Wildlife and MINI photos.
I'm burned out on the "sunset" thread.
I've taken several pictures of the wildlife around here that just happen to have my MINI in the shot.
Thought it would be fun to lure someone into the classic bear entering the car photo.

A herd of Javalina pigged out on the rotting pumpkin I didn't carve. I stepped out the front door to take this.

This herd of Pronghorn antelope has been grazing this field for several days now. They don't spook when I stay in the car.

This is from the shoulder of AZ69. The dirt /rock pile is a commercial pad on the base of Glassford Hill, you can just see the light poles for the car dealer above.

Earlier picture, in Coyote Springs.

Another early shot, one of at least a dozen rabbits on our street.
So the rule is simple: have your MINI in the frame for posting your wildlife photos.

Those are great shots. We get deer and coyotes up here. An occasional black bear or cougar but you have to go further north to see them. Here's a pic we got when we were camping this year.

Um, yeah, sure Kurt. Best "wildlife" I can hope to get here is one of the neighbor's cats sniffing my tires.
Well..., there was that skunk I saw bounding around outside of work I suppose. Here skunk-skunk-skunk, come to the Mini... Yeah, that won't end badly, eh?

This is the closest I have ever gotten to wildlife with MINIs.
Shot at AMVIV last year on the top deck of the Palace Station parking structure (yes, those are MINIs in the background, but the lens was at f/2.8, so they are suitably blurred).

With no MINIs this one is probably my best wildlife photo.

Mountain Sheep at MITM 2006
Not that stunning of a photo, but here was a Mountain Sheep that just about got my goat while motoring down Mt. Evans during MITM 2006. Just would not move - guess it was her mountain, but at 14,000 ft and with a steep drop-off the edge, who's to argue?
Just a bump
Just about stumbled upon this snake yesterday.

I was on my neighbor's back porch taking (I wish) lightning pictures. Thought the hose looked kinda funny.
It's not a rattler, but still big.

Wow...beautiful photos!
The only "wildlife" I see in San Diego these days are the other non-MINI motorists I'm forced to share the road with. Some of them are certainly picture-worthy, but more along the lines of mugshots.

I like your Pronghorn (Antilocapra americana) pictures! Those guys are cool. We have many of them out here in the Uintah Basin and it's amazing how they won't get scared of you if you're in a vehicle...But when approached by foot, they run like the wind. I was driving to new well location the other day and was cruising along this dirt road at roughly 40 mph (not in my MINI!) and a Pronghorn was following alongside me just enjoying the run. :-) They're amazingly fast (fastest mammals in the western hemisphere).
