I walked around the Bolsa Chica Wetlands Wildlife Preserve for nearly four hours this morning hoping to get a good photo with my cheap sucky lens and just as I was discouraged and walking across the dock to my car, this egret landed in right front of me and posed just long enough to pop off a shot! This suprised me as egrets are generally very shy and it's rare to get this close to one. I know it's not the best photo in the world but it made my day!
