Front Center Arm Rest

My wife loves my new car but she wished it had a armrest between the front seats. I stopped at the Mini dealer to see what they had, $329 kit. I really don't want to spend that kinda $$ for an armrest. Anybody have one or knows where I can find one aftermarket? ?

i think with sewell not selling and moss mini closed down that's about the going price. check outmotoring it might be a couple bucks cheaper there. i picked mine up from sewell a few years back and altho they're a bit pricey in the long term it's absolutely worth it. lol, i actually forgot that mine didn't come with a factory arm rest until i saw it in a thread here

Mini Arm Rest

Search Ebay, that is where I got mine. You can find new and used ones, either Mini brand or after market brands. All are a lot cheaper than the price you quoted.

There are a few options other than a factory armrest. Check out Post #19 in this thread. I have one of these between both my front & rear seats and like them much better than the factory units. Moss use to sell them too before they abandoned the MINI product line.

Seconded.

I have that same armrest, and love it. It's nicer than the OEM, IMO.

Keep your eye out for used ones.

I bought mine used and installed it, OEM. The reason i did not go with the aftermarket non OEM is that it did not seem that sturdy, the OEM one is ROCK solid, a gorilla could sit on it and it wouldnt even break a sweat. Its solidly bolted to the tranny tunnel, while the other one just holds on with a few support beams to the bottom of the seats (if i remember correctly).
