night wash

Being a loser tonight and the MINI needed to be bathed, so I washed the it...with a light. Novice photographer w/horrible camera and the camera died so I didn't get to experiment that much-

I'll clay bar and wax tommorrow if I wake up early enough. I've never done it before, so the result should be interesting.

And what causes the blue marks? It showed up a lot more in some of the other pics I took.

Technically . . . refraction.
But we'll call it lens flare.

You pointed the camera towards the light.

alright, thanks. I really only like the 4th pic. All the others are pretty bad, but I guess I'll learn to take pics sometime.

I'm kinda suprised you posted #4 (unless you have another pic lying in wait) as that is one that I'd expect to see in the photo contest

hmmm, didn't think about that. Can I still use it for the contest?

Its pshoped. I had to extend the grass, and it didn't come out the best cause I didn't have a lot of time. But I like it.

I don't see why not, but you may want to hide it until the polling for the contest starts, what is subbitted is keep hidden so we don't get any extra ideas, just to keep things fair (don't want the rest of us stealign your ideas right?). Something you might want to do is wash the MINI next week at night and maybe see if you don't get results that you like even more then submit one of those.

Alright, thanks, I deleted it (the thread isn't as cool now). I'll be able to take more next time, and experiment a little since I charged the camera.

one of my few good ones I've ever taken (well, looks good cropped). I'll try to get a good camera soon (ie. a few months).

I usually sit on a dozen or so images until a few days before deadline. Experimentation is the key to learning.

And its the driver not the car, as you have already proven, so do take care of that eye.

I really wish I could have took more pics, and I might not get another chance soon. My sister might take the car back with her to college this week since it is hers and I don't have any time during the week to wash it again. Hopefully we will get one of the last r53s, ab/b MCS, since we are looking for another car and we want a MINI.

My brother has a couple of nice cameras since its one of his hobbies, but I don't think he will let me touch them. I've always liked photography, but never enough to get a my own camera. MINI/car photog is the best kind.
