July Photo Contest Winner
July Photo Contest Winner
Congrats to NAM member Konky for winning the July Photo Contest with his photo shot for the topic "Out of Focus"
The prize for this month is a VacuCam Tow Hook camera mount. Although it's still being manufactured, it will be sent to the winner when its finished. (Minus the Camera and Red Tow Hook). Better pictures coming later, but it's compatible with any small video/still camera.
If that doesn't appeal to the winner, they can opt to receive a detailing DVD.
In either case, the Tow Hook mount is there to increase your shooting options or the DVD is there to help you maximize the shine on your MINI for the next photo shoot!
Thanks OctaneGuy!

Thanks for all the compliments
and napptym, I'm actually suprised I won, I ended up going to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix this past month and did some panning shots of the race. Some turned out well, and some turned out "out of focus" I guess
So I just submitted it, just to add another selection to the poll, I like when there's 25 to choose from rather than 10 or less, but like I said, I'm suprised I won, I voted for number 3, I thought that was the best for this topic.
Here's a shot that turned out better from that day...

Some of history's more acclaimed artists, Pablo Picasso, Igor Stravinsky, Gordon Parks, to name a few, contributed so much because of their interpretations of what they saw.
Those of us that put forth the effort to submit, each interpreted the theme as we saw fit.
According to the guidelines, any NAM member can submit one photographic interpretation of that month's theme. One can choose to follow the dots, go out of the box, or anything in between.
Of course, whatever path one chooses, the resultant opinions/consequences will always transpire, and . . .
we will not relent in our artistic pursuits.

When I'm looking for a tattoo artist to ink my skin, I look at their body of work.
I'm sure if Konky were to present a slice of his portfolio, it would be clear he deserves this recognition, as would be the case for many contributors to this forum.

I wouldn't know about tatoos.
Congratulations Konky, well done! Thanks for showing us your other great shots from that day too.
I'm just very happy that my photo #17 managed to take second place with so many great photos that I personally liked better. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote.
FWIW, I finally had a chance to watch Richards Detailing DVD. It's fantastic! I've learned a lot and discovered quite a few things I was doing wrong too.
