The lighting that speednut was fortunate to capture in his image is exquisite. The light was strong on the green upper meadow and the yellow field, providing nice contrast to the gray MCS. It is a beautiful photograph. Nice job!

This turnout on Hwy 1 is called Hurricane Point. The Old Coast Road is to the east @ Bixby Bridge; the Little Sur River and Point Sur Lighthouse are to the south.
This stretch of road between Monterey and Big Sur is always a fine drive- on clear, moonlit nights the ocean is lited to the horizon. South of the Big Sur State Park, the road gets very twisty for awhile- it is intoxicating to enthusiasts. The MINI is a perfect car to travel Hwy 1.

I'd say a close cousin with all the customization you can do to these cars. Nonetheless, you have impeccable taste in color and cars! Congratulations on your new delivery; we look forward to you posting some photos of your new one out and about in NY.

likeMINI is exactly right about where the photo was taken. Any chance you have to drive on HWY 1 in CA is an opportunity well spent. Thanks for the compliments too. I was just lucky to have the overcast sky for the soft lighting. Hopefully I'll get some time to post other out-takes from that day's photos.
