Beeee-utiful car! I find it crazy how massive the MINI looks next to the GT
Cool GT! Although I wonder what the old GT40 folks think of it. :D Hmm...now where have we heard that before?

And if you want proof of driving a "real" MINI consult the CAT, battery box and a few under the bonnet type parts lots more MINI logos than BMW logos.
The new MINI is a nice car. We owned an '02 MCS for a while. It's just...so ... BIG!
JCWGurl - Unfortunately I agree with you. There's a rift. :( I do like the new MINI, and there are many out there that own both a classic and new MINI. Unfortunately there are also those that feel that BMW somehow "stole their car". It's kinda sad, really. While there were something like 5.3 million Minis made from 1959 to 2000 the truth is that it was 1950s technology just freshened up through the ages. That being said though, there are certain feelings in the old car that you just can't get in the new one. Safety standards and emissions requirements being what they are though you'd never see a car like the original Mini produced today.
I say hey - to each his own. I just don't understand why people can't let everyone decide for themselves. I've got enough going on in my life to be able to be bitter at a car! Hahahahaha
