More speed please...
Good exposure though. I think to get the idiot lights properly exposed requires a second under-exposure and an image overlay; something to think about if you set this shot up again.

Omigod. I've only just stumbled upon this thread and have been totally impressed with the awesome abilities of everyone here. I'm not much of a photographer, but as soon as I work out how to take such speccy shots, I will post some photos here!

Keep up the good work!
Do you have a digital camera? Even a point & shoot? There are some simple auto settings that may help you get started. Usually there is a setting with a picture of a moon & star or a little person with a star or moon over it's shoulder. That is an auto setting for the evennings. What it does is shoot out a more subtle flash to light the back ground and then it holds the shutter open longer. You have to stay very still or steady the camera on something but give it a shot one evenning and see what comes out of it
good luck
Motor.......... you need to reset that Top Speed display
Nice shot
Thanks, signal skips under these bridges, I hand a handheld GPS claim 123 in a car that topped out at 70 and I was in stop and go traffic... I never reset it after that
I shot in RAW, then converted in Photoshop CS2. My original plan had been to rent a 400mm f/4 lens, but we ended up traveling, so that wasn't an option.
