Show us your... Night Photos!
Thanks, I typically use a Cannon 10D, that particular shot was with a 19-35mm @100 ISO. I used a remote release so I could safely grab shots while driving.
I had half of a table pod dropped into the headrest slot, works for a little while but I need to get it a little more under control but the camera has a habit of rotating while I try to drive.

My daughter Heidi took this last night. She told me about 10 o'clock this morning like it was a matter of fact (that the camera sucks for quick reflex).

We got one fire from lightning last night. Mist of rain so far.

It's that time of year again. This is my favorate time of year for night photos. We had a good size lightning storm last night But I noticed it to late to take phots.
There will be plenty more opportunities though.

i compensated the quicker shutter speed with a higher ISO. the exposure was short-term, it was a very bright/hot fire. camera is DigiRebel w/ 28-135 IS lens.EXIF data:

I haven't shot any new photos recently, that is until Friday night when Tuls kidnapped me and made me ride coach in my little pink beast. He took me to go see the premere of Pixar's movie "Cars" which rocked. All it was missing was a whitty pink sparkly Mini

Also, use the self timer if you haven't already. It can work in lieu of a cable release or electronic shutter remote.
I'm sure the better photographer's here will have more suggestions for you.

P.S. StoopidGirl, nice sig!

I tried to get a shot of the MINIs watching the movie but it was to dark even with the full moon. At least for my camera. I only have a 15 sec exposure.

Ken's article on night shots covers exactly what I'm currently trying to learn; probably is useful for others taking photos for this thread as well (Andreas' photos are jaw dropping).
Here are some Night/Dusk shots I have taken in the last few days.
