The video was taken at Namsan Mountain road near my house...lots of twisties....and also downtown Kangnam the place to be seen in a hot car.
And yes we do drive like this cuz of the darn traffic
The cars were tuned by Peak Motors the only aftermarket shop for Mini here in Korea. My car is going to be in their shop next week (hopefully)
for my stage III build.

The way the Mini's zoom around in traffic remind me of two things.
One, obviously The Italian Job. The way they dart in and out, tight suspensions... *drooool*...
And of tight suspensions. Back in the day after graduating high school, I swore I'd never get a regular car. At the end of '97, I can't really think of any cars that even really hinted at sparking interest for me. Pops had an el camino for a while which was cool, but didn't 'turn me on'. Intrepid's & Eclipses had a nice looking body, but they still looked a lot like everything else except for the rear. I think it was the 'common-ness' between cars which lacked appeal. Then one day I saw a dodge viper, come off a freeway ramp at about 50, swing through a turn without loss of speed or traction, and in my head I was thinking 'thats hot'. That was my first year in the military, and I obviously couldn't afford a Viper, or even a car really... But ever since then I've always looked at cars with sport suspensions higher than cars without, even if the ride is a bit harsher. Point is, those Mini's remain tight as they dart in out and around. I'm constantly impressed by our little euro cars.

Thanks for the link. I will have to get one of my KNs to translate for me so I can log onto the site. I am going to try to meet up with a few of the owners of those hot Minis in the video.
BTW. My tuning parts arrived in country and are at customs. Hopefully the Lil Red Rocket will be in the shop by the end of the month

there aren't many Chili red with black tops in korea.. most of them are with white tops..
by the way, why all the mini owners in Korea use Super sprint??? it's darn expensive..

my favorite thing about them korean miniers is their wheels.... Hot..
Ps: 2nd Video Clip is up and running!
I brought my 2004 MCS to Korea. Most Korean Minis are "cookie cutter". All have white tops, tinted windows, chromeline, automatic trans, stock wheels.
Peak uses and recommends Supersprint on the tuning kits.
Here are pics of some Korean Minis with "wheels"
These 2 cars are in the Korea ClubMini videos too.

Ohh I see... Super sprint eh?
Oh, and LOOK AT THEM WHEELS. daymmm
Too bad the feed is so jerky. Sometimes I just get music, sometimes the video is like stop-go motion or just one frame shot for a lot of music. I'm sure the video would be cool if it could be seen.
trying to download the 2 clips at home but somehow it's really slow / doesn't even let me download them.
I believe I still have the files downloaded @work so I will try to post them ASAP.. sorry guys

Was able to stream them and view them on Media player, but doesn't appear they're downloadable. Odd MMS protocol, not on a HTTP or FTP, so couldn't right-click/save as.
Oh, pretty cool clips. Though the first one was taken at night, and I found it to be too dark to really discern what was going on too well. The 2nd one had some dark spots in it too, but not bad.

The second is 512k per second, which works okay with a cable internet connection.
The 'solution' to watch these though, is to go into windows media options, and set streaming video to first 'buffer 90 seconds' instead of the default 5 or whatever it's doing. That way it will download pretty much the entire video to the buffer, before showing it to you, reducing jerkyness. Probably a good idea to have plenty of ram and patience with this method, but it worked for me when I tried to show my wife on a wireless tablet PC.
