Very cool. I think thats somewhat unprecedented in dSLRs. The technology seems to be growing so fast that the companies have just been declaring models obsolete and not worthy of an update. Glad to see atleast one manufacturer standing behind their products.

Agreed! It's been a rough time being part of the Nikon camp as of late, finally they're taking steps that restore confidence in my buying decision. At least if they're not releasing new bodies as often as Canon they're at least completely standing behind the ones they make, and with as solid a platform as the D70 is I don't see how people can complain.
