MCS video - Mines Rd.

A 9 minute short with wild turns, barbed wire, water hazards, and high-speed banks! It's a 36MB divx 5 avi, at 400x300. I'm not sure what everyone's download connection is, so if you were to download this again, would you prefer higher quality at the same res (more MB) or lower quality, larger res, and shorter length?

This video has edits, exhaust and SC whine, and faster paced music (than my last try). Unfortunately this is still a bumpercam. I tried placing the camera in other locations later, but it just didn't seem right. I'll try again with other camera placements again.

Here's the link.

a what's up man, trying to check it out, but the screen is not moving. I can hear everything though. We got to get camera's mounted to the rear next time so we can see what I looked like.

only thing I can see is a shot from when that Pick up was in front of us btw.

Sup James! Download the latest Divx codec from www.divx.com. The codec I used is 5.1, should be on their site somewhere. Next time I'll have more than one camera, so that should be cool to see!

Yes, hehe, I have seen Grind, and actually, those two songs were from the Grind soundtrack that I had.

What kinds of speed were you hitting? Is that a stock exhaust, sounds like it. No tire squeels, you need to push it a bit more...LOL...j/k..

I know everyone is a critic, but I found myself tilting my head to the left....and watch out for the bicyclists dude

Over all I give the vid .

Thanks for posting.

Overall speeds range from 35-70. Not that fast at all. Looks faster for sure, since the camera is much lower, and I didn't really drop below 3500 RPM! I hit the rev limiter quite a bit. My car is modded; 15%, Powerchips ECU, Alta CAI, Borla Race exhaust, Alta Rear Sway, Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 Wheels and Potenzas. Oh, and a shorty antenna.

Luckily there were very few bicyclists (I keep an eye out, since I'm a bicyclist too!). I had to watch for motorcyclists... One wiped out after I had passed him (headed the other way), the rest of the MINI group saw the results. I assume he hit a patch of gravel. He was getting back up and righting his motorcycle as the crew came through.

I'm still learning what these wheels and tires and sway bar can do, so I wasn't pushing it hard in the corners, especially with a cliff drop on the other side!

And, damn, I can hear that silly yo-yo. Glad you liked it though!

Does look faster then you were going...it's all in camera angle/placement I suppose:smile: .

Guess I didn't hear the exhaust note much either...the microphone must have been up front such that I heard the sweeeeet...whine of the SC. I've been waiting for someone to set up a camera w/ 2 microphones....engine and exhaust.

Personally I would like to see the video with the motor music. Nats (natural sound) makes all the difference in the world. I want to hear the super charger better. That's just my taste, I work in TV so I'm big into that natural sound thing.

ah it worked, . That was my first time out there man, that's a fun road and long too. Lots of gravel though, not good for the chase.
