thinking of getting a new digital camera, dont want to spend the 1300 for the D70 but i was looking around and noticed the Fuji S5000 and the Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z3, anyone have the konica? is it a good camera

 

or maybe you could tell me the difference that 1 megapixel makes? the s5000 has 3.1 and the s5100 has 4.0, for almost 100 dollars would you get the extra MP?

looking on ebay also and it seems there are some good deals

 

3 MP P&S cameras should be able to make 5x7's and "ok" 8x10's
4 MP P&S cameras should be able to make 8x10's and "ok" 11 by 14's

That assumes you're going to be putting pictures behind glass and looking at them from a few feet away.

If all you're going to do is put photos on the web, pretty much any digitial camera can do that. What you get for spending more isn't just more MP, but more control, better lenses (more zoom range).

 

I have the S5000 and I absolutely love it. I use it for my business and for weekend Mini stuff.

 

ok i went ahead and bought the s5100 now i just gotta wait for it to come in the mail, then ill be snapshot crazy
