Do you have any limitations to worry about? (size for example...)

I ask b/c you can buy my camera for that much (canon s45) brand new. you've seen my pics so you know what you can do with it. it's decent. it's not exactly small, so if you want that you should probably look at a casio exilim or minolta dimage x

The nikon 3200 also puts out very nice photos for around $300.

My wife is looking for a new digital SLR for Christmas this year. She has a Canon Rebel G (I think) and wants to keep the lenses, so someone suggested a Canon digital Rebel?

Yes, that makes sense. That's what I would do too in that position.

I meant things like: indoor pics, outdoor pics, action shots, ultrazooms, etc. :smile:

I am a Nikon fan so the 3200 works great for that price... its still no D-70 though!!!

You should just jump to the big time.. Nikon D70
