Fun in Manhattan

For years I've wanted to go on this run, but summer travels have always "gotten in the way."

So here it is - Manhattan at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning in July...

I grew up driving in NYC. It can be a blast, especially on a motorcycle in traffic. Amazingly never crashed. Worst case NYC is getting stuck going from tunnel to tunnel and crawling along, I assume that still happens.

Sadly the streets look beat up and dirty, much more so than when I left for good.

6:30 am in Portland will look like a ghost town compared to NY. As would many other cities.
