I'm going to argue this...as I'm more prone to state that this is just an DoF picture, not quite getting the bokeh affect. I'm under the impression that bokeh is fully the round circle pixelation that you get from distant lighting on a closeup. As in what I took here...



The circles in the center of the speaker are in focus...thus that would not be the affect. So I would assume this is something you are seeing the in the upper left?

Your thoughts (seems to be a highly debated topic in photography forums from what I can see )?

 

So what I'm not going to debate is what we have for a winner...which is AllBlack05S. Love the honeycomb shot with the lighting that is picked up each section...and at 100 ISO in the dark as well.

TrueEddie, like others here, I had no idea the MINI logo was in the lights...very cool picture. Interior shot is nice as well.
BMUN8IVE, really cool shot with the colors. Very nice.
RGCOOPER, while you posted the best rim of all, I'm questioning more if you just opened the door and risked your life with that shot than anything.

Alright then inspired by one of the other photos from this challenge:

A Reflection be creative, the more creative/artistic the feel the better. obviously involve your mini in some way, but it doesn't necessarily need to be the reflected object or what the reflection is in.

 

As to bokeh, I simply refer to the blur,or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image. I use the guideline of "does the out of focus area aesthetically add to the photo or is it just blurry distraction"

I'll agree to the fact that bokeh is considered a pleasing to the eye...but I'm think I'm set in that I think it's an affect from the lens itself...that I think your 'not as good' image actually shows the bokeh...it's just poor, because of the rose. Every really good example I've seen has those circles in it...



Needless, cool upcoming topic. I chose to do more of a reflection with the ground than from the car.

 

Hopefully I'm not breaching any sort of rule about semi-dead threads, but let's see if we can get this going again, eh? :D
