Made a camera mount for my MINI today
I used the stock tow hook, 4 fender washers, and parts from a camera mount that I bought years ago for my VW that has been gathering dust since 2006. I've seen similar mounts including camera for $ 200.00 give or take. Not including the camera and the money I spent back when I bought the original mount from ECS tuning I spent $1.55 for the washers today and spent 5 minutes putting it together. Can't wait to go test it our bending some rules and ruling some bends.
Great idea, well engineered and hope it works well. One question: What will a 70 MPH junebug do to it? Be sure to include an invitation to your Flip Video page for our armchair motoring and viewing pleasure.
1 OEM Tow Hook
2 1.5 inch fender washers
2 2 inch fender washers
Camera Mount from ECS Tunings headrest video camera mount. I'm sure a cheap tripod could be substituted for this particular part. I may try to re-make it another way with an easy to find camera mount.
