Wow, 4 L lenses to start with... That's a great start. And good choice on the 27" iMac. That's a beautiful piece of hardware. Are you using Lightroom or Aperture?

I haven't declared getting a Nikon D5100! It's smarter than me. Jeremy has some good suggestions, if I take his advice is another.

I'm blatantly campaigning for this months Photo Contest! 8 entries, so the competition is fierce. You photographers need to vote!

Just picked up a new Canon T3. Came with the standard 18-55mm lens and an extra 55-250mm lens. Both lenses have AF and IS which is a change for me. This is replacing a Nikon D40 that had a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens, but my long lens did not have AF or Nikon's VR. Still learning my way around the Canon.

Decided against another film camera and got a Pen Mini with the 14-42 kit lens plus a 45mm f/1.8 on order.

Its menu is "interesting."

The best camera I had ever is Nikon Coolpix P80. Before this It beats all the models I had before. I love its speed, picture quality and the super fast zoom lens.

I actually find that Nikon takes better night pictures, but its to slow for action shots, plus the lenses does not zoom enough.

Blew that theory right out the window...my D200 is way to itimidating so I've decided to either sell my D200 or keep it and get a D5100 to replace it. Selling it would give me only about half of what I'm going to spend on the D5100 (Body Only) so not sure that is a good option. I had looked at Canon as a possibility, but since I already have 3 Nikon AF-S VR Lenses (12-24, 18-200, 70-300) I can't see throwing all that money away and starting over. It will be a bit yet before I actually acquire the D5100 but I definitely want it before our 2 week Vacation in September. Going from WA, to UT, to Grand Canyon (taking Train and Tour; staying @ the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel), then down into Phx Metro to suprise my Mom on her 69th Birthday!!

Plans have changed again!! Hey, it's a Woman's perogative to change her mind!!

I purchased a Nikon P510 to take on our WA to AZ Vacation via UT and the Grand Canyon on our way to visit Family in the Phx Metro Area.
But I also purchased 3 New B+W Pro UV Haze Filters for my 3 Nikon VR Lenses. Hoping that will give me some insentive to actually use my D200!!

I may need to purchase a new Tripod however the panning lever broke last night as I was trying to remove the Quick Release Pan Head. Oh well, I had had it for years and never really used it anyway.

For stills my main camera is an Olympus C-7000. Though these days I'm increasingly using the iPhone 4s for wide angle shots, it does just about as well. For video I've got a Panasonic HDC-SD5.

Hey, check out the phone camera shot that was entered this month!

Poll // Photo Contest // July 2012 "WAVE" makes me think I'm the only decent photographer on this site. I commend the other person for entering, even if it's a phone camera snapshot, they at least entered something! Why are there only TWO entries?

I don't care what kind of camera you are using, kinda pointless if you don't bother to participate in a FREE* contest on occasion. *Leaves money to buy more camera stuff!

Jeremy takes the time to run these contests, let's make it worth his time.

End rant.

Glad you enjoyed the run!! We are harmless bunch of MINI Lunatics for sure!!

Sadly the run year will be gone before you know, so make sure you take advantage of all the runs that are left, there isn't a better way to get to know your MINI!!

Cheers,
