Yes, in my observation this contest is a mere shadow of its former self -- in terms of the # of photo submissions, voting, critiques, etc. A review of past contests bears that out. No idea why, but it is kind of sad. Many of the hard-core photogs seem to have gone into retirement.

 

I think it was a sort of loyalty to Dave (who used to run it up until the new year.) When he left, so did many of the photos

 

I might enter next time. As long as an iPhone counts as a viable camera, cause that's all i've got.
Where is the August topic?!

 

The topic goes up on the 1st of the month. No poll was done this month. I have a topic in mind for August.

 

As someone who was much more active in the beginning, speaking for myself, I sort of lost interest in taking pictures of my MINI. I think having 390 pictures of just my car on Flickr is good enough.
Also, this site has become incredibly slow! Just not fun clicking and waiting forever for results.
Voted for 1, they spent some effort for this contest.

 

Jeremy, I think you're doing a great job in making the contests creative and also in trying to encourage all of us to jump in. You have to want to come to this area of NAM no matter what and so it is up to us to make the contests interesting.
